Seth Evans is entering his second year as an assistant men's basketball coach and head men's golf coach at Elmhurst College.
A former NCAA Division I and Division II player, Evans most recently served as a graduate assistant coach at the NCAA Division I level. Evans also coaches the men's golf team at Elmhurst.Â
Evans spent last season as a graduate assistant men's basketball coach at the University of Toledo. He handled the team's video production while also serving as the team's summer camp director, nutrition advisor and weight lifting instructor. Prior to arriving at Toledo, Evans spent three months as a graduate assistant at Wright State University.
Evans began his collegiate playing career at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, a Division I school. As a freshman, Evans played in all 35 contests and averaged 4.9 points per game while shooting 40 percent from three-point range (34-of-85). As a sophomore, he appeared in 31 games and averaged 3.6 points per contest.
Transferring after his sophomore season, Evans completed his collegiate career at Florida Southern College, earning first-team all-league honors from the Sunshine State Conference (SSC) during both his junior and senior seasons. Evans helped the Moccasins capture SSC Tournament titles in 2012 and 2013, earning Tournament MVP honors both years in the process. The team reached the NCAA Tournament during both of Evans' years and captured a Regional Championship in 2013.
 In just two seasons at Florida Southern, Evans amassed over 1,000 points in his career, averaging 18.2 points as a junior and 16.1 points as a senior. As a junior, Evans led the nation in three-pointers per game, averaging 3.5 per contest. Evans set a single-season Florida Southern record for three-pointers by knocking down 110 during his senior year. He also set the school's career free throw percentage record by shooting 89.1 percent for his career.
An all-state basketball player at Seneca High School, Evans was also a member of the golf team.Â
