Steven McKinney enters his first season with the Elmhurst football team as a graduate assistant coach working with the running backs.
McKinney played collegiate football for four seasons at Southern Illinois University. He was a three-time All-MVFCÂ selection as a return specialist/wide receiver. During his senior season he ranked second in the Missouri Valley Football Conference and ninth in the nation in return average at 13.1 yards per return. In 2013, he led the Salukis with 1,025 all-purpose yards while tying for the team lead in receptions with 51 and hauling five touchdowns.
McKinney has spent the past two years working as a field marketing agent for Adidas.Â
