Elmhurst University Athletics

Mike Heffernan is entering his third season as a full-time assistant coach with the Bluejays.He is entering his first season as the team's offensive coordinator in 2015. 

Heffernan returned to Elmhurst prior to the 2013 season after spending four seasons at the College of Saint Scholastica. Heffernan served as the Bluejays' offensive line coach and run-game coordinator and recruiting coordinator in 2014.

Heffernan coached both Adam Connors and Drake Hoffman to all-conference accolades during the 2014 season. 

At Saint Scholastica, Heffernan served as the team's offensive line coach, recruiting coordinator and strength and conditioning coach. In his time at Saint Scholastica, the team won conference championships and advanced to the NCAA Playoffs during the 2011 and 2012 seasons.

Heffernan also coached the offensive line at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 2008. He also served as a graduate assistant coach at Northern State University.

He played for two seasons at Elmhurst, earning all-conference honors as a defensive lineman during the 2006 season. After completing his playing career at Elmhurst, Heffernan began his coaching career by serving as a student assistant coach at Elmhurst during the 2007 season.
