Keith Woodson is entering his first season as an assistant coach with the Elmhurst University football team. Woodson works as the team's secondary coach and defensive pass game coordinator.

Woodson comes to Elmhurst after spending last season coaching the cornerbacks at Concordia University-Chicago. Prior to his time with the Cougars, he spent a season working with the cornerback and safeties at Trinity International University.
Before joining the collegiate coaching ranks, Woodson spent several years coaching at the high school level. He worked with the cornerbacks and safeties at Niles North High School (2019) and coached the wide receivers at Carmel Catholic High School (2018). He also spent five seasons coaching the cornerback and safeties at his alma matter, Evanston Township High School. He also spent a season as an assistant coach at Sheboygan North High School in Wisconsin.

Woodson played professionally both locally and overseas. He played professional football in Serbia, working as a player and coach. He led his team in tackles and interceptions. He also spent three years as a starter for the Chicago Blitz in the American Indoor Football League.

Woodson is no stranger to NCAA Division III football after playing at Lakeland University in Wisconsin. At Lakeland, Woodson was a four-year starter for the Muskies and earned his team's Freshman of the Year Award. He served as a captain for two seasons and was a three-time all-conference performer from the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC). His 14 career interceptions ranks him tied for fourth in Lakeland history.
Woodson earned his bachelor's degree from Lakeland.Â
