John Fraser is entering his second season as an assistant coach with the Elmhurst football team. Fraser works with the Bluejays' quarterbacks and serve as the team's passing game coordinator.
Fraser joined the Elmhurst coaching staff as a full-time assistant coach prior to the 2019 season. Fraser has over 30 years of experience coaching at both the high school and collegiate level. He worked with McDonald at Yale University, serving as the Bulldogs’ quarterbacks and receivers coach from 2006-2009. Yale won the Ivy League title during the 2006 season.Â
Fraser also has coached collegiately at Trinity College (Conn.) (2011-14), helping Trinity post an undefeated season and win a NESCAC during the 2012 season. Fraser added additional collegiate coaching stops at: Hamline University (2003-06), Colgate University (1986-90), Lafayette College (1984-86) and Columbia University (1982-84).
Fraser began his collegiate playing career at the University of Wyoming before finishing his playing days at the University of Massachusetts. He earned his bachelor’s degree from UMass and earned a master’s degree from the University of Albany.
