Responsibilities:
Tahaney serves as the recruiting coordinator for Elmhurst football, also coaching the team's wide recievers.
Prior Experience:
A dual-sport athlete in football and track & field at Elmhurst, Tahaney returns following two seasons as the wide receivers coach and academic support specialist at Alma College in Alma, Mich. At Alma, Tahaney coached wide receiver Nathan Goralski to second-team All-MIAA honors in 2022, helping the Scots to their first conference title since 2004 and the team's first NCAA Division III Football Championship victory.
At Elmhurst, Tahaney was a three-year letterwinner at both wide receiver and quarterback for the Bluejays, leading the 2019 squad with an average of 4.5 yards per carry, scoring six touchdowns on the season (four passing, two rushing). He also earned three academic all-CCIW awards in his time at Elmhurst. Tahaney also lettered in track & field, where he was a four-time All-CCIW honoree.
