After a successful playing career at Elmhurst, Zach Hofer is entering his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Elmhurst baseball staff.
A two-time all-conference selection and the CCIW's Player of the Year in 2009, Hofer was a three-time all-region honoree and a member of the all-region Golf Glove team as a senior.
During his senior year in 2012, Hofer earned all-region honors while finishing the year with a team-leading .433 batting average. He also led the squad in doubles (11), home runs (four), RBI (35), slugging percentage (.692), and on-base percentage (.520). He was also a Division III National Player of the Week for driving in 15 runs over a four-game span.Â
He closed out his Elmhurst career ranked among the College's career leaders including: second in career doubles (43), third in RBI (122), fourth in extra base hits (63), fifth in total bases (276), seventh in career batting average (.381), runs scored (111), and hits (178), and ninth in home runs (15) and slugging percentage (.591)
