Rob Marinec

Education:
Marinec spent his collegiate career at North Central College where coach Heller served as an assistant. After completing a bachelors degree in marketing and management, Marinec also spent two grad years to complete his MBA while still playing. 

Responsibilities:
Marinec is responsible for assisting the recruiting and coaching efforts for the Elmhurst baseball program.

Prior Experience:
Marinec has been a part of multiple travel organizations including serving as co-head coach for the Cangelosi Sparks and hitting and catching instructor with Windy City Baseball, where he currently works. During his time at North Central, Marinec received All-region accolades in every year aside from the 2020 Covid season, along with being voted on All-American teams in 2019 and 2021 when he had more pick-offs (12) than stolen bases allowed (11). Marinec also earned Central Region Player of the Year honors in 2019. Marinec was also named to the first team All-CCIW list three times, including CCIW Player of the Year honors in 2019. After completing his career at North Central College, Marinec ranks first in multiple categories in the program’s record books including RBI (240), hits (268), runs scored (200), total bases (475), doubles (60), sacrifice flies (16), and games played (189). He also ranks in the top-10 in slugging percentage (.656), OBP (.464), at bats (724), triples (15), home runs (39), and walks  (120).
