Nick Barnhill is entering his second year as an assistant coach with the Elmhurst University baseball team. Barnhill will be working primarily with the Bluejay pitching staff.Â

Barnhill pitched at Concordia University-Chicago from 2012-2016, working as a starter and reliever over his four-year career. The Cougars amassed a record of 145-42 during his time at CUC, wining the NACC Conference Championship each year and making NCAA DIII Regional appearances each year as well. During his college career, Barnhill put together a 3-3 (W-L) record with a 4.35 ERA over 68.1 innings pitched while tallying 51 strikeouts. Barnhill was the winning pitcher out of the bullpen in CUC's upset of defending national champion UW-Whitewater in the 2015 NCAA DIII Regionals, overcoming a 7-0 deficit and holding the Warhawks scoreless over the final three innings to pick up the playoff win, 8-7.
Barnhill completed his bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2016 and earned his master's degree. in School Counseling in 2020 at Concordia-Chicago. He also serves as the Head Baseball Coach at Walther Christian Academy.

In addition to his coaching duties, Barnhill serves as the Associate Director of Graduate Admission at Elmhurst University. Barnhill and his wife, Maria, reside in Melrose Park.
