David Wolak is entering his fifth season as an assistant coach for the Elmhurst baseball team after closing out a stellar four-year career in 2014.
Wolak earned all-CCIW accolades in each of his four seasons at Elmhurst, while garnering ABCA all-region honors three times (2011, 2012, 2014).
As a senior, Wolak starred for the Bluejays, leading the team in home runs (eight), RBI (36), total bases (80), slugging percentage (.580) and runs scored (38). He also became the fifth Bluejay to record three or more home runs in a game, launching three in Elmhurst’s 13-5 win over Otterbein on March 8, 2014.
Wolak finished his career Elmhurst's all-time leader in hits (222) and at bats (604) while posting a .368 career average. He ranked second in runs scored (144), triples (11), total bases (321) and RBI (138), seventh in doubles (32), eighth in stolen bases (35) and 11th in batting average.
