MADISON, Wis. – The Elmhurst University women's volleyball team fell in straight sets to Edgewood University on Tuesday night inside the Todd Wehr Edgedome.
The Eagles defeated the Bluejays by scores of 25-22, 25-21, and 25-19.
Nida Zukauskaite paced the Edgewood (3-0) offense with a match-high 13 kills. Laila Rasmussen handed out 18 assists on the night, while Abbey Eivins totaled seven digs. As a team, the Eagles hit .198, finishing with 39 kills and 18 errors in 106 attempts.
Elmhurst (1-3) was led by
Isabella Mendell who put down nine kills.
Ashley Clardy followed closely behind with eight kills, while
Katie Hurta added seven kills to go along with a team-high 11 digs. The Blue and White hit .170 as a team, which featured 31 kills and 15 errors in 94 attempts.
Up Next: The Bluejays look to bounce back at the Transy Invite hosted by Transylvania University on Sept. 11-12. Elmhurst will take on the College of Saint Benedict on Friday at 5 p.m., before facing off against Asbury University and the host on Saturday at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. respectively.
