ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's soccer team opened the 2026 season with a 2-0 win over Beloit College on Tuesday night at Langhorst Field.
After building momentum early, Elmhurst (1-0-0) took control with back-to-back goals in the last 10 minutes of the first half. Powered by Lauren Nevins' three consecutive shots on goal, the St. Charles, Mo. native found the back of the net on her third opportunity off an assist from Calli Edwards to give the Bluejays a 1-0 advantage.
The newcomer duo of Edwards and Alaina Clark struck just three minutes later for Elmhurst's second and final goal of the night. Edwards scored off an assist from Clark, giving the Bluejays a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
Erin Fitzharris and Sequoia Ross earned a clean sheet in goal with a single save from Beloit's (0-1-0) lone shot.
Up Next: The Bluejays are back in action at Langhorst Field on Saturday, Sept. 5, against St. Norbert College. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
