DECATUR, IL - Elmhurst University Baseball dropped its matchup against Millikin, 9-2. The Bluejays generated momentum on bases throughout the game but were limited to two runs. Elmhurst totaled 32 at-bats with eight hits, and four walks.

At the plate, Timothy O'Connell and Zach Konrad led the way with two hits each, while Konrad drove in both of Elmhurst's runs with two RBIs. Javier Cervantes also added a two-hit performance, while Evan Johnson and Rock Smith each crossed the plate for the Bluejays' two runs. Brett Vercruysse drew two walks in hopes of alleviating pressure.

On the mound, Jonathan Boyles, pitched 6.0 innings, allowing six runs on six hits and striking out one. Jack Krueger entered in relief and faced three batters. Jack Goergen closed out the game with a strong effort over 2.0 innings, allowing just one hit and no runs.

The Bluejays will file out to Butterfield Park, Wednesday against Illinois Wesleyan at 3:00 PM.
