Bluejays Pull Away Late to Earn 78–63 Win Over Carthage

KENOSHA, WIS. — The Elmhurst University women's basketball team delivered a balanced and efficient performance on Saturday afternoon, pulling away in the fourth quarter to secure a 78–63 victory over Carthage College. In a game that featured multiple lead changes and tight stretches early, the Bluejays closed strong behind steady shooting, interior scoring, and depth contributions.

Elmhurst shot 52.8 percent from the field and used a decisive second quarter to seize momentum, shooting 10-of-14 from the floor in the period to build separation heading into halftime. The Bluejays continued to execute offensively in the final frame, connecting on 9-of-14 shots in the fourth quarter to put the game away.

Anna Kleszynski and Natalie Harty paced the Bluejays with 16 points apiece. Kleszynski was efficient from the floor, going 5-of-9 while adding five rebounds, while Harty knocked down four three-pointers and added four steals, providing a spark on both ends of the floor.

Natalie Robinson delivered a strong presence in the paint, finishing with 12 points on 4-of-7 shooting and adding five rebounds and a block. Her ability to score inside and protect the rim helped Elmhurst control key stretches of the game. Maia Lewers added eight points and four assists while logging 37 minutes and helping steady the offense through several momentum swings.

Kristin Bukata contributed across the stat sheet, finishing with six points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists while playing 39 minutes. Her rebounding and playmaking were instrumental in Elmhurst's ability to control tempo and generate high-quality looks throughout the contest.

Elmhurst also received strong production from the bench, led by Sierra Gibson, who scored 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting, and Diellza Dalipi, who added eight points and three rebounds. The Bluejays finished with 20 bench points and consistently applied pressure with fresh bodies.

Defensively, Elmhurst forced 12 turnovers and limited Carthage to just 3-of-21 shooting from three-point range. The Bluejays outscored the Firebirds from the perimeter and converted key opportunities at the free-throw line, finishing 15-of-20 from the stripe.

With the win, Elmhurst showcased its depth, balance, and late-game execution, continuing to build momentum as conference play progresses.
