12 Bluejays Secure CSC Academic All-District At-Large Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - 12 Elmhurst University student-athletes have earned Academic All-District At-Large honors from College Sports Communicators for their combined excellence in the classroom and in competition during the 2024–25 academic year. The At-Large category encompasses a wide range of sports including lacrosse, golf, wrestling, and bowling. Six men's and six women's student-athletes were selected from the Bluejays.

Eli Spence – Men's Lacrosse (Junior)

Spence was one of the most prolific offensive players in the country this season and matched that excellence with strong academic performance. A 3.86 GPA student in Environmental Studies and an Honors Global Scholar, Spence earned USILA Third Team All-American and USA Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American honors. He led NCAA Division III in points per game, finishing the year with 111 points on 64 goals and 47 assists while adding five game-winners and 22 ground balls. He was named CCIW Offensive Student-Athlete of the Year and earned First Team All-CCIW honors. Spence advances to the national Academic All-America ballot.

Hunter Hernandez – Men's Lacrosse (Sophomore)

Hernandez played in all 16 games and finished second on the team in scoring with 40 points on 33 goals and seven assists. A Business Administration major with a 3.91 GPA, he shot .287 with a .678 shots-on-goal percentage while helping lead the Bluejays back to the CCIW Tournament title game.

Fischer Son – Men's Lacrosse (Sophomore)

Son started 15 games and totaled 34 points on 29 goals and five assists, posting a team-best .483 shot percentage among regular contributors. He is majoring in Exercise Science and holds a 3.76 GPA.

Tommy Smyth – Men's Lacrosse (Senior)

Smyth was a mainstay in the midfield, starting all 16 games and collecting 19 ground balls and eight caused turnovers while also scoring a goal. He is a Biochemistry major with a 3.85 GPA, and was Elmhurst's 2024-25 Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Sam Hoff – Men's Lacrosse (Sophomore)

Hoff provided depth off the bench in all 15 of his appearances, tallying eight goals and nine assists with a .267 shot percentage. He is majoring in Accounting and carries a 3.80 GPA.

Matt Koshiol – Men's Lacrosse (Junior)

Koshiol anchored the Bluejay defense, starting 15 games and leading the team with 19 caused turnovers to go along with 34 ground balls. He earned USILA Honorable Mention All-American honors for his outstanding play. The Logistics and Supply Chain Management major holds a 3.50 GPA and advances to the national Academic All-America ballot.

Corinna Salmon – Women's Lacrosse (Senior)

Salmon closed out her collegiate career with five goals and one assist while picking up 14 ground balls in 12 games. She is a triple-major in Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Urban Studies and maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Mary Graves – Women's Bowling (Sophomore)

Graves, a Psychology major with a 3.96 GPA, contributed consistently to Elmhurst's women's bowling team throughout the 2024–25 season. Her performance in the classroom and on the lanes earned her a spot among the district's top student-athletes.

Regan Bobich – Women's Golf (Senior)

Bobich earned All-CCIW honors after a dominant season that included two individual victories, four top-three finishes, and a 533-55-7 win-loss record. She was the CCIW Runner-Up and received the CCIW Elite 26 Award. A Musical Theatre major in the Honors Program, she carries a 3.92 GPA and will represent Elmhurst on the national Academic All-America ballot.

Mikaela Armstrong – Women's Lacrosse (Senior)

Armstrong started all 13 games this season, scoring two goals while collecting 24 ground balls, 15 draw controls, and 13 caused turnovers. She is a Management major with a 3.92 GPA.

Gracie Eastman – Women's Lacrosse (Senior)

Eastman led Elmhurst in scoring with 33 goals and 16 assists for 49 points while shooting .398 and contributing three game-winning goals. She also added 13 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. She is majoring in Nursing and holds a 3.76 GPA.

Mia Coppola – Women's Golf (Sophomore)

Coppola posted an 88.3 scoring average over the season while contributing to Elmhurst's depth and consistency on the course. She is majoring in Digital Marketing Communication and carries a 3.82 GPA.
