NAPERVILLE- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced its 2025 All-Conference softball awards, and two Bluejay student-athletes have earned recognition for their standout performances this season.
Danielle Hood was named to the Second Team All-CCIW as a utility player, a testament to her impact both at the plate and in the circle. A versatile contributor, Hood posted a .315 batting average and an .863 OPS over 30 games, collecting 28 hits, including seven doubles, two triples, and two home runs. She drove in 20 runs and was a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen base attempts. In the circle, Hood appeared in five games with one start, recording a 3.30 ERA and 1.41 WHIP across 23.1 innings, while striking out 13 batters. Her two-way performance made her one of the most dependable and dynamic players on the roster.
Ali Mockenhaupt was selected as the team's CCIW RESPECT Award recipient, which honors student-athletes who exemplify the conference's core values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Sportsmanship, Participation, Excellence, Commitment, and Teamwork. Mockenhaupt contributed in all phases of the game, batting .343 with a team-best .471 on-base percentage while playing in 27 games. She drew 15 walks and added six RBIs at the plate. Mockenhaupt also posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
