WHEATON, Ill. - The Elmhurst Men's Track and Field team went to the Don Church Twilight on Thursday, April 17th, they were also at the La Verne Leopard Invite and Beach Invitational, both in California. .
ULV Leopards Invite
Logan Turney soared to victory in the pole vault, clearing an impressive 4.68m to claim 1st place overall.
Beach Invite
Turney continued his strong form, securing 4th place in the pole vault with a mark of 4.54m. Meanwhile, in the triple jump, Rickey Martinez demonstrated grit and skill, landing a 20th-place finish with a leap of 13.97m.
Don Church Invite
The Bluejays truly hit their stride at the Don Church Invite, with PRs falling across the board:

100m Dash: Zaiden Smith sprinted to a new PR of 11.21.

200m Dash: Smith's star continued to rise as he secured 2nd place overall, setting another PR with 22.20. Teammates Gino Orestano (24.30) and Sufyan Khan (24.94) also achieved personal bests in this event.

1500m: Michael Bailey pushed his limits, clocking in at 4:17.63 to set a new PR.

3000m: Caleb DeBoer placed 9th overall (9:17.57), while Christian Gleba achieved his PR with a time of 9:28.27.

110m Hurdles: Jaedon Thompson broke through with a PR of 17.32 to claim 7th place.

4x400m Relay: The team of Issac Marcero, Shawn Woodall, Chris Marroquin, and Zaiden Smith powered to a 2nd-place finish with an impressive 3:24.48.
Field Events
The Jays also excelled in field events:

High Jump: Hemory Phifer claimed 9th place with a leap of 1.64m.

Long Jump: Kayton Garrett leapt to 1st place with a mark of 6.57m, with teammates Pierce Reinhard (3rd, 6.45m) and Jaedon Thompson (9th, 6.03m) close behind. PRs were set by Gino Orestano (5.60m) and Braxton Mitchell (5.32m).

Triple Jump: Braxton Mitchell secured 3rd place (12.47m), with Orestano finishing 6th (11.15m).

Javelin: Pierce Reinhard landed an 8th-place finish with a mark of 41.25m.
