The Bluejays tacked on another run in the fifth inning to extend their lead to 3-1.
The game took a decisive turn in the sixth inning when Elmhurst exploded for 3 runs. A combination of timely hitting and aggressive baserunning put the Bluejays up 6-1. Framingham State cut into the lead with 2 runs in the seventh, but Elmhurst answered back with an insurance run in the bottom half, making it 7-3.
Framingham State continued to battle, scoring a run in both the eighth and ninth innings, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit, as Elmhurst secured the two-run win.
