ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's lacrosse team continued their undefeated streak, improving to 7-0 on the season with a commanding 14-8 victory over the College of Wooster Fighting Scots at Langhorst Field.
The game saw the Bluejays dominate the first half, establishing a strong lead that they maintained throughout. Wooster attempted a late rally in the fourth period, but Elmhurst's consistent scoring and solid defense secured the win. The Bluejays' offensive prowess was evident, as they outshot Wooster 45-38 and consistently pressured the Scots' defense.
Eli Spence had another outstanding performance for Elmhurst, leading the team with 8 goals and 2 assists, including the game-winning goal. Hunter Hernandez contributed 3 goals, while Brenden Crouse tallied 1 goal and 2 assists. Fischer Son and Kaden Ames also scored one goal each, with Pete Grebe and Matt Koshiol adding one assist apiece. Goalkeeper Noah Mickelson played the full 60 minutes, recording 15 saves on 38 shots faced.

Eli Spence opened the scoring just two minutes into the game, and after a quick equalizer from Wooster's John Allen Ginder, Spence added his second goal with an assist from Brenden Crouse. Jack Holub answered for Wooster to tie it up again, but Elmhurst surged ahead with three more goals: another from Spence and two from Hunter Hernandez. The Bluejays outshot the Scots 15-9 and won 8 of 11 faceoffs.
Wooster managed to slow Elmhurst's momentum in the second period, holding them to just two goals while adding one of their own. Spence scored again early in the period before Wooster's Lane Kellogg capitalized on a power play with an assist from Will Fink. Kaden Ames responded for Elmhurst to close the period, giving the Bluejays a 7-3 advantage at halftime. Renick Wiltshire and Riley Schulze also found the back of the net, but Elmhurst's scoring continued, with Fischer Son and Spence adding insurance goals. Hernandez also completed his hat trick, sealing the 14-8 victory. Despite Wooster's best efforts, Elmhurst's depth and resilience proved too much to overcome.
