Elmhurst, Ill. (December 22, 2025) — Elmhurst University is excited to announce the appointment of Greg Gorham as the new Director of Athletic Communication, effective December 29, 2025. After a comprehensive nationwide search, Gorham was chosen to lead the department's athletic communication efforts, bringing extensive experience to the Bluejay community.
Greg is excited to join the Bluejay community: "In conversations with Glen Brittich and the rest of the staff, I could see right away the passion and dedication behind giving Elmhurst student-athletes the best experience possible. I'm excited to be a part of this group of coaches and support staff, and to contribute by telling the story of Bluejay athletics."
Gorham joins Elmhurst with over a decade of experience in athletic communications. He most recently served as the Director of Athletic Communications at Trinity Christian College, where he joined the staff in 2022. His role at Trinity Christian included enhancing the department's media and social media presence and improving communication strategies. Prior to his time at Trinity Christian, Gorham worked in various athletic communication roles at Indiana University South Bend, Saint Xavier University, and Trinity International University.
While at Trinity Christian, Gorham's leadership in athletic communication included overseeing media relations and social media efforts for the university's athletic programs. He was instrumental in improving the visibility of the department's teams and student-athletes. Notably, he successfully garnered local and regional media attention for several standout athletic performances and featured student-athletes in outlets both in and outside of the Chicagoland area.
At Saint Xavier, Gorham was the primary media contact and led the marketing and media relations for the university's 19 athletic programs. During his time there, he expanded the department's social media presence and earned significant media coverage for student-athletes, with stories about SXU's athletes appearing in major newspapers across the Chicagoland area, Indiana, and Iowa.
Gorham's tenure at Trinity International University included covering the men's basketball program during their remarkable NAIA national quarterfinal run in 2017, the program's deepest-ever postseason appearance.
Dr. Glen Brittich, Director of Athletics at Elmhurst University, expressed his excitement about Gorham's hiring:

Gorham earned his Master's degree from the University of Central Missouri ('12), where he served as the primary contact for the women's volleyball, women's basketball, and track & field programs. He also holds a Bachelor's degree from Southwest Baptist University ('09), where he worked as a student assistant in the sports information office and as a men's basketball team manager.
