NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The Elmhurst University women's basketball team turned in a commanding and composed performance on Saturday afternoon, earning a 74–55 road victory over Saint Mary's College (IN). The Bluejays controlled the game from the opening tip, building an early cushion and relying on balanced scoring, interior strength, and disciplined defense to secure the nonconference win.
Anna Kleszynski led the Bluejays offensively with 18 points, connecting on three three-pointers and consistently finding space on the perimeter. She added seven rebounds and provided a steady scoring presence throughout the afternoon, helping Elmhurst stretch the floor and maintain momentum during key stretches of the game.
Kristin Bukata followed with an efficient all-around performance, finishing with 16 points while attacking the lane and getting to the free-throw line, where she converted six attempts. Bukata also helped manage tempo, keeping the Bluejays organized offensively while contributing defensively in the backcourt.
Natalie Robinson delivered a dominant effort inside, recording a double-double with 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. Her work on the glass limited second-chance opportunities for Saint Mary's and allowed Elmhurst to control possession throughout the contest. Robinson's physicality in the paint set the tone defensively and helped anchor the Bluejay frontcourt.
Maia Lewers provided an important spark off the bench, scoring 11 points and knocking down three three-pointers on four attempts. Her perimeter shooting helped Elmhurst extend its lead in the middle quarters and added another scoring threat that Saint Mary's struggled to contain.
Natalie Harty and Diellza Dalipi each added eight points, with Harty contributing timely perimeter shots and Dalipi providing energy and toughness in the paint. Dalipi's physical play and rebounding helped Elmhurst maintain its edge inside as the Bluejays rotated through their lineup.
As a team, Elmhurst shot 49.1 percent from the field and forced turnovers that led to 21 points, while holding Saint Mary's to 36.4 percent shooting. The Bluejays' ability to defend, rebound, and share the scoring load allowed them to build a double-digit lead early and protect it through all four quarters.
The victory capped a strong road performance and showcased the depth and balance of the Bluejays' lineup as Elmhurst continues to build momentum early in the season.
