Results

GREENCASTLE, Ind.—Elmhurst men's basketball delivered another poised, veteran-led performance on Tuesday night, powering past DePauw 75–71 to move to 5–0 on the season. Behind a dominant second half and a roster blending experienced returners with an exciting group of emerging contributors, the Bluejays controlled the game's biggest moments to stay perfect.

Elmhurst erupted for 52 second-half points after trailing at the break, showcasing the balanced scoring and depth that have defined the early season. Vinnie Adjahoungbeta led the way with 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting, including four three-pointers, while adding nine rebounds and anchoring the defense with energy and toughness. Aidyn Boone continued his sharp perimeter production with 11 points on three made threes, and Dominic Trelenberg added 10 points, five rebounds, and steady playmaking to guide the backcourt.

Luke Smith fueled the offense with 10 points, five assists, and four rebounds, while EJ Marshall and Jack Cherry supplied vital minutes off the bench to help Elmhurst flip the game's tempo in the second half. The Bluejays knocked down 11 threes, forced 10 turnovers, and outscored DePauw 52–38 after halftime, seizing control with a composed and explosive offensive surge.

Defensively, Elmhurst tightened up in the final 20 minutes, limiting DePauw's perimeter looks and converting key stops into transition opportunities. The combination of veteran leadership and the impact of the program's rising young talent once again powered the Bluejays through a challenging road environment.

The strong 5–0 start has begun to draw national attention as well. Elmhurst earned 20 points in the latest national poll, placing them among the teams receiving consideration across Division III—a clear indication that the Bluejays' early-season success is resonating beyond the conference.

Riding a perfect record and growing national recognition, Elmhurst now turns its focus to its next challenge. The Bluejays travel to White-Water Wisconsin for a 7:00 p.m. matchup on December 2, looking to extend their undefeated run and continue building momentum.
