ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's basketball team took on conference foe North Park in their sixth conference game of the season.
The Bluejays (10-4, 2-4 CCIW) were led by
Sierra Gibson as she scored 16 points while adding two rebounds.
Diellza Dalipi added 12 points with two rebounds and an assist. While
Cierra Steemer added 10 points with three rebounds, an assist, block and steal.
The Vikings (3-13, 0-7 CCIW) were led by Caroline Long as she dropped 26 points with four rebounds, an assist and steal.
The Bluejays led from the beginning and never looked back. They started the game with a 9-2 run while the Vikings were able to get the lead down to two in the first quarter but that was the closest they would get to the Bluejays. The Bluejays were able to dominate in a few different categories, they outscored the Vikings 48-16 in points in the paint, outscored them in fast break points 16-6, and out scored them in second chance points 15-5. 10 different Bluejays were able to get on the score sheet tonight, and they were able to add 13 steals on the night.

The Bluejays will return to play as they travel to Millikin University for another CCIW contest on Saturday, Jan. 18th with a 2:00pm tip-off.
