ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's soccer team continued their unbeaten run tonight as they hosted Lake Forest College on Wednesday night at Langhorst field.
The Bluejays (2-0-1), goals were scored by
Ryan Wells who scored in the 29' assisted by
Caden Sultzbaugh,
Brady Lucas scored in the 80' and right after his game-tying goal was
Maciej Rzadkosz in the 83' once again assisted by
Caden Sultzbaugh.
Niyen Ruffin also made six saves on the night.
The Foresters (0-3), goals were scored by Nico Lomanto 10' and Brett Klemes in the 57'.
The Foresters started off strong with a goal by Lomanto just before the ten minute mark of the game. The Bluejays would look to answer and eventually connect on a long range goal by Wells in the 29' minute. That would be all of the goal scoring in the first half but both teams would have chances with both squads having seven shots in the first half while the Blujeays would win the corner battle 3-1 in the first half. Like clockwork the Foresters would score quickly again this time with a goal from Klemes in the 57' minute. The Bluejays would push to find an equalizer, in the 80' minute during a scramble in the box Lucas would head the ball into the open net to tie the game 2-2. Just minutes later Rzadkosz would head in another goal in the 83' minute of off a corner kick and secure the 3-2 win and push the unbeaten streak to three games for the Bluejays.
