ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's soccer team hosted The University of Olivet on Tuesday night at Langhorst Field.
The Bluejays (4-4-2), had multiple goal scorers on the night with
Lauren Nevins in the 12' and 53',
Emily Herlihy in the 55', assisted by
Sophia Burkhead, then
Angie Lopez in the 64' assisted by
Camila Rubio, and
Haley Jeske in the 88' assisted by
Eva Thier.
The Comets (2-5-2), the lone goal scorer for the comets was Jillian Ostrowski in the 75' assisted by Kelsie Finazzo.
The Bluejays were the dominate team in this game with 23 shots to the Comets five. The Bluejays were able to to muster one goal in the first half with the help from Nevin, but it would cause an offensive explosion as the Bluejays would erupt for four goals in the second half. Nevin's second goal of the day followed by Herilhy, Lopez, and Jeske would allow the Bluejays to win comfortably over the Comets 5-1.
