LISLE, Ill. -Â The Elmhurst University women's volleyball team tallied their fifth-straight win Saturday afternoon, taking down Lake Forest College and Benedictine University on the road.
Elmhurst (6-4) has won six of their last seven games after starting the year 0-3, riding the hot hand of their offense and senior pin hitters. The Jays downed Lake Forest (1-7) in a 3-0 sweep to begin the day, and took down Benedictine (3-6) 3-1 to end the day.
Against the Foresters,
Jada Wiley led Elmhurst with nine kills, while fellow outside hitter
Savannah Davis tallied six kills and four service aces.
Gianna Ptaszek led Elmhurst with six digs and also had four aces.
After taking care of the Foresters, Elmhurst took care of the host Eagles with a 3-1 victory. It was Wiley again leading the Jays with a double-doulbe of 22 kills and 18 digs, also tallying a pair of service aces.
Kali Phillips tallied ten kills in the contest, while setter
Alli Schwartz had a double-double of 22 assists and 17 digs.Â
UP NEXT
The Bluejays are set to open CCIW action next Thursday, Sept. 19, hitting the road to take on No. 15 North Park at 7:00 pm.
