AURORA, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's soccer team traveled the short distance to Aurora University on Wednesday night.
The Bluejays (2-2-2), had 12 shots on the night with three coming from
Emily Herlihy (3),
Kelli Coughlin (2), and
Ellie Muscarello (2).Â
The Spartans (1-4), had two goal come from Madison Hougan 8' and 15', along with Cassie Garcia 30' and Katie Leick 75'.Â
The Spartans would start the game off with a bang being up 2-0 in the first 15 minutes of the game. They would add on another in the 30' minute to take a 3-0 lead into half time. The Spartans would score three goals off of four shots while the Bluejays were only able to muster three shots. In the second half the Jays would have nine shots of their own but none would hit the net, while the Spartans would add three shots and score one more goal in the 75' to lead to a 4-0 victory.Â
