WHITEWATER, Wis. -Â The Elmhurst University softball team dropped a pair of non-conference matchups with 15th-ranked UW-Whitewater Sunday afternoon.
Elmhurst (9-16, 0-5 CCIW) were unable to plate any runs across both games, but kept each close throughout the day.
Bailey Proffitt led the way in game one with a pair of hits, while
Gianna Amundsen also scored a pair of hits in game two for the Jays.Â
Despite a slow start in game two, the pitching duo of
Ali Mockenhaupt and
Emma Lenczewski held the Warhawks to just one run and six hits in the final three innings.
UP NEXT
The Bluejays will finish their previously suspended game against Wheaton College tomorrow evening, April 15, at 5:30 p.m. at Salt Creek Park in Elmhurst. The game is tied, 1-1, in the ninth inning of play. Following that, Elmhurst will travel to Waukesha, Wis. for a doubleheader with Carroll on Saturday, April 20, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
