HOW IT HAPPENED

Concordia Chicago established an early lead with a series of successful plays. Joel Watts contributed significantly with multiple fast-break layups, helping his team to a 10-7 advantage. The Bluejays momentarily took a 7-6 lead thanks to Aidyn Boone's three-pointer, but Concordia quickly regained control. Jacob Collicott made critical defensive plays for Concordia, including a key block and a steal, setting up a late scoring run. By the end of the half, Concordia capitalized on turnovers and fast-break opportunities to outscore the Bluejays 45-29.

The Bluejays showed improvement in the second half, outscoring Concordia Chicago 38-37. Pearson opened the half with a layup and later hit two key three-pointers. Concordia's Jacob Collicott remained active, contributing several layups, including a fast-break layup assisted by Joel Watts, and recording multiple rebounds. A notable sequence occurred with 5:30 remaining, where Darrian Williams assisted AJ Willard on a three-pointer. The Bluejays responded with a tip-in from Dominic Trelenberg following an offensive rebound. Late in the half, Cherry's three-pointer and layup helped cut into Concordia's lead, but the home team maintained their advantage to secure the victory.
