Elmhurst Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's soccer team drew ,3-3, against Dubuque Wednesday night at Langhorst Field.
The Bluejays (1-5-2) were led in scoring by
Jonathan Mueller, who scored two goals on the night with one assisted by
Edgar Duenas and the other by
Ilija Jerinic. Ronald Dearborn also had a goal on the night. The Bluejays collected 16 shots, seven of which came from Mueller, while also collecting eight corner kicks.Â
The Spartans (2-5-1) also scored three goals tonight, two were by Carson Kowalski and another by Johnny Wiggins. The Spartans also had 14 total shots on the night.Â
The Bluejays started out fast with a goal from Mueller in the 21st minute and 33rd minute followed by a goal form Dearborn in the 38th minute, sending the game into the second half 3-0 in favor of the Bluejays.Â
The Spartans would fight back by getting a penalty kick goal by Kowalski in the 55th minute, then a goal by Wiggins in the 80th minute and finally an equalizer by Kowalski in the 89th minute to end the game in a 3-3 draw.Â

The Bluejays will be in action next on Saturday Sep. 23rd at North Cental College to begin CCIW play.Â
