ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst University men's lacrosse team evened out its conference record with a decisive victory over Augustana College, 18-4, at Langhorst Field.
The Bluejays came out hot scoring eight goals and shutting out Augustana in the opening quarter.
Elmhurst (9-2/1-1 CCIW) led 13-0 with under six minutes remaining in the first half, until Jack Connolly found the back of the net and put the Vikings on the board with his first goal of the night.
 The Bluejays held a 15-2 advantage over Augustana at the half.
Elmhurst outscored the Vikings 3-2 in the second half in route to its first conference victory of the season.
Augustana (5-5/0-1 CCIW) was led by Connolly who finished with a pair of goals. Brady Holtz and Jake Moore each added in one goal for the Vikings. Jack Worfel picked up a team-high two groundballs in the loss as well.
Jake Grebe led the Bluejays offensively with six points featuring two goals and four assists. Following closely behind was
Sante Dybowski who finished with a hattrick of goals, while
Eli Spence added in two goals and one assist.

Kaden Ames,
Ryan Swank and
Ethan Stepanek each chipped in a pair of goals in the win.
Tony Vazquez grabbed a game-high 10 groundballs and won 17-of-21 faceoffs.
Noah Mickelson and
Andrew Lacksonen earned the win in goal for Elmhurst with a combined eight saves, while Erik Singdahlsen collected 13 saves in the loss.
The Bluejays host CCIW rival North Central College on Saturday, April 8 at 1:00 pm at Langhorst Field.
