PLAINFIELD, Ill. - The Elmhurst University women's tennis team wrapped up their season Thursday morning, falling to the top-seeded North Central Cardinals 5-0 in the first round of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Tennis Tournament.

The Bluejays dropped all three doubles matches, with the team of June Bering/Isabella Rahman providing the most competitive match for Elmhurst, falling 8-3 to Kensington Payne/Anastasia Bozovic of North Central, to trail 3-0 heading into singles play.

Elmhurst then dropped two singles matches, both by scores of 6-0, 6-0 to allow the Cardinals to clinch the opening-round victory.

The Bluejays finished the 2022-23 season with an overall record of 8-1, including a 1-7 mark in CCIW play, advancing to the CCIW Women's Tennis Tournament quarterfinals in postseason play.
