NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The Elmhurst University women's basketball team took down CCIW rival, North Central College, by a score of 75-62 for its first conference win of the season at Gregory Arena.
The Bluejays (3-17/1-11 CCIW) trailed the Cardinals by just two points at the half, 33-31.
 Elmhurst outscored North Central 44-29 in the second half in route to a dominant road victory.
The Bluejays were led by a
Taylor Harazin double-double featuring 22 points and 11 rebounds.
Katie Matrise added in 16 points and dished out four assists, while
Kendall Schieppe contributed 15 points and pulled down five boards.
Lindsay Novak chipped in 10 points in the win for Elmhurst as well.
North Central (5-16/2-11 CCIW) was led by Megan Duffy who finished with 12 points. Allison Pearson added in 11 points, while Mitrese Smith and Natalie Stavropoulos each contributed 10 points apiece. Smith also led the team with nine rebounds.
Elmhurst shot 49.1 percent (26-of-53) compared to North Central's 37.1 percent (23-of-62). The Bluejays fared better from downtown shooting 47.1 percent (8-of-17), while the Cardinals shot 31.6 percent (6-of-19) from behind the arc.
