Lisle Ill. - The Elmhurst University Women's Basketball Team defeated Benedictine, 76-55, Saturday afternoon to open up their 2023-24 basketball season.
The Bluejays (1-0) were led by
Shanyce Makuei who had 26 points coming off of the bench. The Bluejays were also led by
Anna Kleszynski who had 15 points and
Tyreshia Sessions who had 14 points, eight steals and four assists.
The Eagles (0-2) were led in scoring by Ryann Ogarek who had 26 points and 10 rebounds
At the end of the first half the Bluejays had a comfortable 21 point lead, this lead did shrink in the third quarter down to 17 but the Bluejays were able to hold their ground and gain their first win of the season over the Eagles.

The Bluejays return to action at home with their first home game of the season on Wednesday, November 15th at 6:00pm against Alma College
