Elmhurst Ill. - The Elmhurst University Men's Soccer Team extended their winning streak with a 5-1 win over Concordia University Wisconsin.
The Bluejays ( 5-8-2, 3-3 CCIW) had five goals on the night, all of which came from different players starting with
Maciej Rzadkosz, Alan Lopez,
Brady Lucas,
Jonathan Mueller,and
Edmund Conroy on a Penalty Kick. Rzadkosz led the Bluejays with assists with two followed by
Ilija Jerinic,
Luis Aviles, Mueller and Conroy all getting one assists as well. The Bluejays had 22 shots on the night, leading them was Mueller with five shots and Lucas and Jerinic with three of their own. The Bluejays also had eight corner kicks on the night and
Aaron The earned another victory with five saves on the night as well.
The Falcons (5-8-2) lone goal was scored by Carson Kelly on a Penalty Kick. The Falcons had 10 shots on the night with three coming from Kelly.
The Bluejays started the game off fast with a few scoring changes in the first few minutes, and their chances were capped off with Rzadkosz finally scoring in the 13th minute. Just before the end of the half Lopez would find the back of the net to give the Bluejays a 2-0 lead going into the half. The Falcons would answer back cutting the lead back to one with a penalty kick from Kelly in the first moments of the second half but the Bluejays would answer right back with Lucas tapping in a goal right off of a corner kick cluster. Mueller would add another goal in the 77th minute with an outstanding strike off of the top right of the cross bar and goal post. Just minutes later Conroy would knock in a penality kick to end the game 5-1 in favor of the Bluejays.
