ELMHURST, Ill. -The Elmhurst University women's basketball team fell, 94-43, to Millikin University at R.A. Faganel Hall.
The Big Blue (14-3/8-0 CCIW) held a dominant, 27-3, lead over the Bluejays at the end of the opening quarter. Millikin extended its lead to 40 points at the halfway point.
Elyce Knudsen led the way for Millikin with 22 points and seven rebounds. Bailey Coffman followed closely behind with 17 points, while Sarah Isaf added in four three-pointers to round out the double-digit scorers for the Big Blue.
Elmhurst (2-14/0-8 CCIW) was led by 
Taylor Harazin who finished with a near double-double featuring 13 points and nine rebounds. 
Katie Matrise chipped in 12 points, while 
Payton Schmidt and 
Alison Sellergren contributed six points apiece in the loss for the Bluejays.
Millikin outshot Elmhurst 48.6 percent (34-of-70) to 23.2 percent (13-of-56). The Bluejays fared better from the foul line shooting 72.7 percent (16-of-22) compared to the Big Blue's 68.2 percent (15-of-22).

The Bluejays travel north to Kenosha, Wis. to take on the Firebirds of Carthage College for their next contest on Saturday, January 21 at 2:00 p.m.
