ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst University men's tennis team closed out the fall portion of its 2022-23 season with a win over Concordia 7-2 at the Brune Tennis Courts. 
Elmhurst had a strong start at doubles play. The Bluejays' No. 1 pairing of 
Brandon Fulmer and 
Ben Cavka defeated Nate Singer and Ben L'Heureux 8-0.
Russell Reyes and 
Lukas Cepronas continued the winning ways for Elmhurst with a win over Joshua Wright and Caleb Guslatfson 8-4.
At No. 3 doubles Concordia got on the board with a win from Diego Loveshe and Scott Engler over 
Yannis Varsamis and Raffay Suleman 8-3.
 
Holding a strong 2-1 lead after doubles the Bluejays' won five of the six singles matches. At No. 1 
Ben Cavka defeated Nate Stringer 6-0, 6-1.
At No. 2 Doubles 
Brandon Fulmer won straight sets 6-0, 6-2 over Caleb Guslatson. 
Russell Reyes won handedly over Raynaldo Leal 6-0, 6-1. 
Lukas Cepronas defeated Josh Wright 6-4, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.
Next Yannis Varamis secured a victory at No. 5 singles over Scott Engler 6-2, 6-2. Concordia took No. 6 singles as Diego Loveshe won in tiebreak over 
Adrian Songco 4-6, 6-4, 7-10.
 
Elmhurst will resume their season in the spring.
