ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst University men's soccer team toppled Augustana College, 3-1, at Langhorst Field.

Noah Backhaus ignited the Bluejays' offense, scoring the first goal of the contest in the 23^rd minute of play off a pass from James Serrano.

The Vikings (0-10-2/0-4-1 CCIW) tied the game up seven minutes before the half with a goal by Valdemar Nihlen.

Elmhurst (6-5-2/2-2-1 CCIW) scored two goals in the first four minutes of the second half to secure the senior night victory.

Backhaus netted his second goal in the 46^th minute off of a free kick pass by Brady Lucas.

Hayden Madsen found the back of the net to score the final goal of the contest in the 48^th minute off of a pass from Ilija Jerinic.

Benjamin Samuelson collected nine saves in goal for Augustana, while Noah Reed earned the win with three saves.

The Bluejays travel to Decatur to take on Millikin for their next contest on Saturday, October 15 at 3:30 p.m.
