HOLLAND, Mich. – The Elmhurst University women's soccer team fell to Hope College 1-0 at Van Andel Soccer Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, it was still either team's game for the taking.  In the 55^th minute, Hope's Sarah Mikesell found the back of the net to give the Flying Dutch the 1-0 lead.

Hope (4-1-0) outshot Elmhurst (1-3-0) 34-5.

Bluejays goalkeeper, MaKenzee Velchek, collected 14 saves and Flying Dutch goalkeeper, Parker Hutchinson, earned the win with four saves.

Elmhurst returns home for their next contest on Friday, September 17 against the Milwaukee School of Engineering.
