ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst University women's soccer team dropped its first match of the season against Dominican University 1-0 at Langhorst Field. 
 
Dominican's Katie Norlie put the Stars on the board in the 17^th minute of the contest when she took control of a loose ball in the Elmhurst goal box.
 
The Bluejay defense kept Dominican off the scoreboard for the remainder of the game, but Elmhurst was unable to find the back of the net. Dominican outshot Elmhurst 17-5 in the contest.
 
Elmhurst goalkeeper MaKenzee Velchek recorded 12 saves during the match and Dominican goalkeeper Rachel Huser earned the shutout with three saves.
