ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst University women's soccer team suffered a 2-1 double overtime loss to Millikin University at Langhorst Field.

Elmhurst's (3-6-0) Camila Rubio gave her team the 1-0 lead in the 21^st minute after scoring her first goal of the season.

The Big Blue (6-5-0) responded just 19 seconds later with a goal of their own when Bailee Blecker found teammate Maddy Wood who tied the game up, 1-1.

The second half contained many goal-scoring attempts from both squads, but still ended regulation with a 1-1 draw.

After a scoreless first overtime, the contest headed to overtime number two.

With just 33 seconds left to play in the match, Millikin's Hannah Henson found Blecker who was able to put one past Bluejay goalkeeper, MaKenzee Velchek, to win the game and lead her to team to an over 500 record.

Elmhurst's Velchek tallied eight saves while Millikin's Hope Limoges earned the win with nine saves.

The Bluejays take on the Pioneers of Carroll University on Saturday, October 9 at Langhorst Field.
