CCIW Winter Sports Update

CCIW Announces Winter Sports Schedules

NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced today winter 2021 competition schedules in the sports of men's & women's basketball, men's & women's indoor track & field, women's bowling and wrestling. 

Men's and women's basketball is slated to begin a CCIW-only schedule on Saturday, January 23. The Elmhurst men's basketball team will open the season by playing at Augustana College on Monday, January 25. The Elmhurst women's hoops squad will host Augustana at R.A. Faganal Hall on Monday, January 25. 

All other winter sports will compete in a CCIW-only schedule, with women's bowling and wrestling scheduled to begin on January 23, followed by men's & women's indoor track & field on Saturday, January 30.  The Elmhurst bowlers will take on Augustana, Illinois Wesleyan and North Central on January 23 in Rock Island while the Bluejay wrestling team will compete against Carthage, Concordia-Wisconsin, Lakeland and Wheaton in Mequon, Wis. The Elmhurst track and field squads will open the season on February 6 by competing against North Park, Wheaton and Carthage in Kenosha, Wis. 

Due to state and local restrictions, as well as campus visitor policies, no spectators will be allowed at any competition at this time. Live video streaming and live in-game stats are slated to be available for all men's and women's basketball home games. Check back on elmhurstbluejays.com and Elmhurst social media accounts for additional live video coverage of road contests and additional sports. 

Additionally, CCIW fall sports schedules, including football, men's & women's soccer and women's volleyball, will be announced next week, with competition slated to begin in late February for women's volleyball and March for football and men's & women's soccer. A spring cross country meet is still to be determined.
 
Campus and conference officials will continue to monitor federal, state, local and campus conditions and testing availability and will make changes to the schedule as necessary.
