The Elmhurst men's soccer team closed its two-day trip to Iowa with a 1-1 record after falling at Loras College 4-1.

The Details:

• In the fifth minute of the match Loras' Mark Broderick netted an early goal to put his squad up 1-0.
• The Bluejays' answered back just five minutes later as Keegan Thompson assisted James Serrano on his first goal of the season to tie things up in the 10th minute.
• Loras re-gained the lead when Broderick finished his second goal of the match after collecting a pass from Raudel Fierro.
• At halftime Loras held a 2-1 advantage over the Bluejays.
• Loras' Tigrio Huerta tacked on two insurance goals in the second half to help capture the win 4-1.
• Donnie Kvien had seven saves on the day while both goalkeepers for Loras totaled three saves apiece.
