ELMHURST, Ill. – The Elmhurst wrestling team upped its dual meet record to 5-3 on the season after shutting out Concordia University (Wis.) 51-0.

Elmhurst jumped out to an 18-0 lead without wrestling match.

Jimmy McAuliffe (141) all received forfeits to start the dual.

Caleb Ramos needed just 4:16 to pin Miguel Betancourt at 141 pounds to put Elmhurst up 24-0. At 157 pounds,
Keone Derain had a 13-1 major decision wrapped up, when a flagrant misconduct was called on Concordia's Eric Martinson giving Elmhurst six team points instead of four. At 165 pounds,
Howie Olson used a pair of takedowns and four near fall points to cruise to a 9-0 major decision over Alex Montibrand. Olson's win gave Elmhurst a 34-0 lead and secured the dual win in the process.

Nevin Brittain used three takedowns, an escape and riding time to score an 8-2 win over Chris Daja at 174 pounds. After surrendering an early takedown,
Mark Miller quickly scored a reversal and then struck with three near falls. Miller used an escape and a takedown early in the second period to secure a 17-2 technical fall (3:10) over Merrick O'Donnell at 184 pounds.
Dominic Gallo followed with a 9-2 decision over Brogan Howard at 197 pounds.
Zach Dixon put the exclamation point on the dual at 285 pounds, pinning Collin Riley in 1:45.
