NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's tennis team suffered an 8-1 loss to North Central College to open CCIW play. 

North Central (7-11, 2-1 CCIW) won all three doubles contests and five of the six singles contests. 

Elmhurst's No. 1 doubles team of Shawn Sabaricos and David Demoll played a strong match before falling 8-6 to Victor Krueger and Tyler Bussell. 

Demoll went on to score Elmhurst's only point in singles play, soring a 7-6, 6-1 victory over Adam Winters at No. 2 singles. 

Elmhurst hosts Marian University on Sunday, April 8.
