ELMHURST, Ill. - The Elmhurst men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 road loss at Carthage College.
Carthage swept all three doubles matches and all six singles matches to take the victory. Elmhurst fell to 0-12 on the season (0-3 CCIW) while Carthage upped its record to 10-9 overall and 5-1 in league play.
Elmhurst's David Demoll and Shawn Sabaricos fell at No. 1 doubles to Carthage's Herman Abban and Daniel Moore 8-3. Grant O'Connell and Tavious Imperial fell 8-3 to No. 2 doubles to Lukas Jaworski and Fordy Leipold.
In singles play, Abban stopped Demoll 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 and Moore defeated Sabarico 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2.
