KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Elmhurst women's soccer team played its final non-conference game of the season, finishing with a 1-1 tie at Kalamazoo College.

Kalamazoo (9-6-2) struck first, scoring 8:30 into the match on a goal from Josie Sibley off an assist from Kai Ketola. Elmhurst (9-4-2) evened the score in the 23rd minute when
Emma Krick connected off an assist from
Annalisa Lappo.

Neither team could break the tie in the second half or either of the two overtime periods. Kalamazoo outshot Elmhurst 22-18 in the match, but the Bluejays put 10 shots on goal to the Hornets' seven. Kalamazoo held a slim 6-5 edge in corner kicks.

Bryce Marchetti made the start in goal for Elmhurst and recorded six saves while allowing just one goal. Hannah Wolfe recorded nine saves in net for Kalamazoo.

Elmhurst closes out the 2018 regular season by hosting Illinois Wesleyan University on Saturday, October 27.
