CHICAGO, Ill. – The Elmhurst women's tennis team ran its record to 7-4 overall by shutting out North Park University 9-0.

Elmhurst (4-4 CCIW) swept all three doubles matches and the six singles contests en route to the victory.

In doubles play, the Bluejays' duo of
Chiara Gaudio and
Ysabel Gonzaga dispatched Linn Viuhkonen and Linnea Love 8-1 at No. 1.
Rachel Rettger and
Kathryn Wheeler combined at No. 2 doubles to defeat Lisa Viuhkonen and Grace Pavlak 8-1. Elmhurst's
Sarah Paist and
Maddy Freeman completed the doubles sweep with an 8-6 win over Katie Chelboun and McKenzie Harrison.

In singles play, Gaudio cruised past Linn Viuhkonen 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 while Rettger scored a 6-4, 6-1 win over Love at No. 2. Gonzaga made short work of Lisa Viuhkonen at No. 3, winning 6-0, 6-1. Wheeler raced to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Chelboun at No.4 singles while
Lindsey McAuliffe downed Pavlak 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5.
Dacey Maglaque finished up the sweep with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Harrison at No. 6.
