WAUKESHA, Wis. – The Elmhurst women's basketball team outscored Carroll 67-32 over the final 32 minutes of play to cruise to a 76-42 road victory.

Elmhurst upped their record to 10-8 overall and 6-3 overall while Carroll slid to 5-13 overall and 2-7 in league play.

Trailing 10-9 with two minutes left to play in the opening quarter, Elmhurst scored the final eight points of the quarter, including five from
Kaela Jones, to carry a 17-10 lead into the second quarter. The Bluejays scored the first seven points of the second quarter to double their lead at 14 points. Elmhurst led 30-17 at the break.

Elmhurst pulled away in the second half, starting the third quarter on a 12-0 run to open up a 42-17 lead. The Bluejays led by 25 entering the fourth quarter and led by as many as 36 points before coasting to the 72-46 win.

Elmhurst shot 39.7 percent (27-of-68) from the floor, including 42.3 percent (11-of-26) from beyond the arc. Elmhurst outrebounded Carroll 49-32 and the Bluejays cashed in 19 Carroll turnovers for 23 points. Eleven different players put points on the scoreboard for the Bluejays. Jones and
Georgia Garvie totaled 18 points apiece to pace Elmhurst in the victory. Jones added six rebounds while shooting 5-of-10 from the floor. Garvie's 18 points marked a career-high for the sophomore. She connected on 7-of-12 attempts from the floor, including 4-of-6 from downtown.
Mikaela Eppard added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Bluejays.
Jasmin Bailey totaled six points and six assists while
Hannah Henderson finished with eight rebounds, five assists and two points.

Carroll shot 29.8 percent (14-of-47) form the floor in the loss. Anna Menges, Brittney Wald and Hannah Ohn led the Pioneers with seven points apiece.
