LAKE FOREST, Ill. - The Elmhurst women's soccer team outscored Lake Forest 3-0 in the second half en route to a 5-2 victory.

Elmhurst was efficient with their shots, putting all five of its shots on goal into the net. The Bluejays upped their record to 4-1-0 on the season with the victory.

Genevieve Kapecki started the scoring, finding the back of the net in the 18th minutes off of an assist from Jami Lessila.  The Bluejays' lead was short lived as Lake Forest's Cassidy Hoyt scored the equalizer in the 24th minute.

Elmhurst reclaimed the lead on a Kristin Kelly goal in the 32nd minute, but the Forresters pulled even before the half on a Natalie Dixon goal. 

The second half belonged to the Bluejays as Elmhurst outscored Lake Forest 3-0. Kim Stanczak started the scoring just 3:12 into the half. Bri Gerardi gave Elmhurst a two-goal lead in the 67th minute off an assist from Marri Gragnani.  Lessila finished the scoring with an insurance goal in the 89th minute.

Lessila paced Elmhurst's attack with four points on two assists and a goal. 

Sophia Tuliglowski earned the win in goal for Elmhurst after stopping five shots. 

Elmhurst travels to MacMurray College on Friday, September 22.
